There are several advantages to the Phoenix 21. Its’ mobility gives the system a distinct advantage as it is not limited to being at one location all the time but can be moved to where it is most needed to process waste. These areas include landfills, disaster sites, and medical waste facilities. The system saves tremendous costs on disposal, tipping fees, landfill costs, and transportation costs. These are costs that must be paid every month to dispose of a city’s waste. Our system allows a city to process the waste without the need to contract with a waste management company. This advantage allows a city to get rid of these reoccurring costs and puts that money back into the revenue base.
The Phoenix 21 can burn any type of material as a fuel source including plastics, wood, municipal solid waste, disaster debris, tires or coal. This capability and the copyrighted software gives the unit multifunctional capabilities as it can go from processing one kind of material to another, if needed. A diversified and flexible horizontal operation design corrects the limitations of a vertical and stationary waste-to-energy unit and allows for easier start-up. There is minimal preparation of feedstock to make it usable in the unit and the feedstock can blend with whatever waste sources are available (wood, biomass, coal finds, etc) It is low maintenance and can run for 24/7 as long as there is feedstock. This continuous run cycle saves costs on fuel and electricity to run the unit as it generates its own power once it has started. The Phoenix has a safety feature which monitors the unit and will shut down the unit in the event of an emergency.
This unit is eco-friendly with lower air, soil, water contaminants and carcinogens making it carbon negative. This unit can create carbon neutral credits which can be sold to other businesses providing an additional income for the purchaser. Valuable by-products are rendered through our proprietary process which includes the following; biochar, repurposed, unescorted coal, electricity, steam, hydrogen fuel, ash, industrial gases, carbon black, rare earth minerals, presorted steel and glass which is sterilized in the process, precious and heavy metals, and water purification for disaster relief. The selling of the by-products and savings on waste management costs gives a quick return on investment for the purchaser.
One of its’ greatest advantages is that it is scalable to fit customer needs allowing customers the ability to process from 5 tons per day (TPD) of waste to 450+ TPD. Our company can evaluate and change the units to meet the need of the customer. A 40 year life cycle and the ability to be retrograde fitted for future technological advancements make this unit a win-win for the customer.
All of these advantages make the Phoenix a renewable green energy, sustainable, cost effective solution to global waste management. These mobile units can be shipped via the CSX railroad system to almost any location in the country and transported by sea to other geographical areas.
